Somnia grew up with bandits after his elvish family and homeland was destroyed. During a raid of Mercathia, the bandit stayed behind, becoming the only elf and the most prestigious "aquisition officer" in the trading city.
Somnia is clever and light hearted most of the time. He is fast friends with the Bethian squire, Dominick Dane, another social outcast in Mercathia, and gets along well with the majority of the party, minus the dwarven cleric that is consigned to the priest of Bethia that travels with the group and Aittir, who he has had a prolonged arguement with concerning his pursuit of immortality after meeting with The Messenger of Fire.
